Apply straight from the roll leaving the release liner in place to prevent stretching the product. Press firmly into position to obtain maximum benefit from the pressure sensitive adhesive. Remove release liner only when the product has been correctly located.

The release liner may be left in place to protect the product in transit or storage prior to final application on site.

Types Of Adhesives

The two main types of adhesives used by Henkel are:

Rubber Resin Adhesive

– Strong initial tack

– Recommended for high shear bonding application

– Creates a permanent bond

– Not resistant to UV light

Acrylic Adhesive

– Good initial tack

– Bond improves over 24 hours and up to a maximum of 72 hours

– Has excellent UV resistance and high temperature tolerance

EconomicalAccuracy of positioning afforded by the pressure sensitive adhesive allows specification of the narrowest suitable width.

Easy and Quick to ApplyProducts can be applied from the roll by hand.

Clean to UseWill not ooze out, thus avoiding costly cleaning time and wastage.

VersatileSupplied in widths from 6mm to 1250mm (subject to availability and thickness of material). Foams are also available in many different thicknesses. Differing foam structure, pressure sensitive adhesives and protective liners give a choice of high performance products.

ConsistentThe product should be applied prior to removal of the release liner ensuring that the tape is not stretched upon application, this will ensure a lasting seal consistent to fine tolerances throughout width, length and thickness.

Product ApplicationThe product should always be applied to a clean, dry, grease and dust-free surface. Care should be taken to ensure that plastic moulded components are free from the presence of release agents.

Press firmly into position to obtain maximum benefit from the pressure sensitive adhesive.

Optimum performance will be obtained when the bond is formed at 23°C. At low temperatures there is a chance of condensation and the tack of the adhesive can be reduced. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C.
