Constitution is a living document, an instrument which makes the

systemwork.Its flexibility lies in itsamendments. Inthisedition, thetextoftheConstitutionofElectricalTechnocratsAssociationhasbeen

1.1Acronym:ETA(MVK)

ETA(MVK)isbasicallyaprofessionalbodywhichaimsatenhancing

thetechnicalskillsofanEngineeringstudent.Itmotivatesthestudents

tostayabreastwiththecurrenttrendsinthetechnicaldomainandalso

cultivatesthehabitofresearchamongthestudents.

1.2 The Electrical Technocrats Association functions only under the

guidanceoftheDepartmentofElectricalandElectronicsEngineering.

Article2:Preamble

We, the students of Department of Electrical and ElectronicsEngineering of Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College, whole

heartedlydeterminedtobuildasystemtoshareinformation,knowledge

andexpertisetosharpenthequalitiesexpectedfromanEngineersoas

tokeepourselvesupdatedinthisrapidlygrowingworldwithoutaltering

the social andpersonalvalues cherished byourcollege and the great

Indiansociety.

Article5:OrganisationalStructure

5.1ThePresidentistheHeadoftheElectricalTechnocratsAssociation

assistedbytheExecutivePresident.

5.2 The organs and the Official Wings of ETA include Organising

Committee,DraftingCommittee,GeneralCouncil,ExecutiveCouncil,

Finance Department, Election Commission, and Project Division,

Resources,ReverseEngineeringandNewsletter.

5.3 ETA Activities include ETA day (Fun day), Social Awareness

Video,ETAasaNGO,EmpoweringIndia.

5.4 ETA exclusively conducts Young Scientists Convention in

association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics

Engineering.

Article27:FinanceDepartment

27.1 Finance Department shall formulate Budgets and maintain

documentsforincomeandexpenditureforETA.

27.2 Finance Department must produce the Budget and Expenditure

reportineveryGeneralCouncilandExecutiveCouncilmeeting.

27.3Financial statusofETAshouldbeproducedto thePresident and

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering once in three

months.

27.4FinanceDepartmentshallprovidefinancialassistanceforProjects,

Resources, Reverse Engineering, Newsletter with permission and

approval of the President and theMentor consulting the HOD of the

DepartmentofEEE.

27.5 Finance Department shall provide financial assistance to the

ActivitiesandEventsofETAwiththeapprovalofthePresidentandthe

MentorconsultingtheHODoftheDepartmentofEEE.

Article28:TreasureroftheFinanceDepartment

28.1ThereshallbeaTreasurerfromtheFinalyearandthreeAssistant

TreasuresfromThird,SecondandFirstyears.

28.2 The Treasurer shall maintain the record of funds and the

expenditure of the Association and submit the financial report to the

HODandtotheMentoronceinthreemonths.

Article31:DeputyDirectoroftheProjectDivision

31.1DeputyDirectoroftheProjectDivisionshallassisttheDirectorof

theProjectDivisionindischarginghisduties.

31.2 In the absence of the Director of the Project Division he shall

dischargethedutiesoftheDirectorconsultingtheHODofEEE.

Article32:Resources

32.1ResourcesmaintaintheOfficialrecordsofETA,Library,Financial

32.2ThereshallbeaControllerandanAssistantController.

Article33:ControlleroftheResources

33.1 Controller of the Resources shall preserve the Resources and

submitsthereportoftheResourcesintheExecutiveCouncilandtothe

DepartmentofEEE.

33.2 Controller of the Resources shall help Projects Division and

ReverseEngineeringwinginallocationofthematerial.

Article34:AssistantControlleroftheResources

34.1AssistantControllerof theResourcesshallassisttheControllerof

theResourcesinmaintainingtheRecordsoftheResources.

34.2IntheabsenceoftheControlleroftheResourcesheshalldischarge

thedutiesoftheControllerconsultingtheHODofEEE.

Article35:ReverseEngineering

35.1ReverseEngineeringwing isan integral part of the Association.

This wing performs the Reverse Engineering operations on certain

apparatus and submits the report to the President in the Executive

CouncilmeetingandtotheDepartmentofEEE.

35.2 There shall be a Chief Analyst and an Analyst of the Reverse

Engineering.

Article36:ChiefAnalystoftheReverseEngineering

36.1 Chief Analyst of the Reverse Engineering shall carry out the

procedure of tracing out the root of the project and re-modifies the

designwiththemembersofwingandsubmitthereporttotheExecutiveCouncilandtotheDepartmentofEEE.

Article42:Observers

ObserversarespeciallyappointedbythePresidentwiththeconsentof

theMentorandtheHODofEEE.TheyshallattendalltheMeetingsofthe Executive Council as well as the General Council and prepare

reports about the proceedingswhichshallbepublished in the official

NewsletteroftheAssociation.

Article43:YoungScientistsConvention

YoungScientistsConventionshallbeconductedeveryyearon the14th

ofMarchinmemoryofDr.AlbertEinstein.Aspecialteam(DirectorofYoungScientistsConventionandMembers)nominatedbythePresident

consultingtheMentorandtheHODshallorganisetheevent.

IMPORTANT:ETAprovidesvolunteersfortheothereventsorganised

bytheDepartmentofEEEasmentionedinClause5ofArticle5.

ThereshallbeanETAday(Funday)tocelebratetheanniversaryofthe

Associationonceinayear.

SocialAwarenessVideo

OrganisingCommitteeshalltelecastVideostocreateSocialAwareness

amongtheMembersoftheAssociationonceineverysemester.

ETAasaNGO

TheElectricalTechnocratsAssociationshallserveasaNGOandshallassociate itself with certain public awareness activities in accordance

withitsscopeasdecidedbytheExecutiveCouncil.

EmpoweringIndia

Empowering India shall be organised by the Coordinators of the

OrganisingCommitteeto notifythemembers of theassociationabout

thecareerandwiderscopeofjobsonceineverysemester.
