Authentication - Because the school’s network only issues Security Tokens to trusted users, the Security Token indicates that the network trusts the user. Because the network trusts the user, SchoolDude trusts the user. Authorization - two layers of authorization for information security. Security tokens issued by the school’s network provide access to use SchoolDude products. Roles defined within the SchoolDude products define what users are allowed to do in each product. Accounting - keep a log of user activities for the past 30 days. Every login record contains the name of the user, the date, the time and the product accessed. This log can be downloaded and printed if needed by the administrator. FEATURES Users log in using the same password that connects them to their school’s network. Reduces “password fatigue” by not requiring users to manage an additional, SchoolDude specific password. Requesters on the school’s network are no longer required to enter a password to submit information in work orders, facility requests, etc., because the network has already authenticated them. Requesters are more securely identified using their own unique credentials instead of a generic submittal password; no more risk of requesters accidentally seeing each other’s requests.
