Over the next several weeks, these teams will create safety protocols for each of the phases. The protocols will be reviewed and approved by the Leadership Board. As we move into each phase, we will provide them via our E-News and website to help you prepare. I recognize that no plan is perfect, and we cannot eliminate every risk. Scioto Ridge Church Family,

Grace and peace to you from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We continue to live in unprecedented times. The global pandemic of COVID-19 has impacted our nation and world in ways that we may never fully understand. Yet, we, the Body of Christ, have been called to be light in the darkness “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).

With the arrival of COVID-19, our staff and leadership acted swiftly to move our ministry operations to a digital format. This has been a huge success. Yet, the time is coming that we begin to slowly reopen the church building for increased ministry.

The Staff and Leadership Board have created a 4-phase “Re-Open Right Plan.” In addition to this plan, three task forces have been created comprised of staff, Leadership Board members, and members of the church to address: Worship Schedule and Design, Health and Sanitation, and Children and Youth Ministry (including Mom’s Day Out).

As the church begins to open, I encourage you to discern your own risk and comfort with each of these phases. As you can see, online worship and Zoom gatherings will continue to function well into the future. Ministry is going to continue to look very different than what we are used to, but God is faithful, and we believe COVID-19 is temporary.

During this season, I have been amazed at the ways in which our congregation has been light, hope, and healing to this world. Even without access to the physical building, our church is alive and well.

If you have any questions about these phases, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

As always, I am grateful to serve Jesus alongside of you through our mission to “SEEK the unchurched, NURTURE disciples, and TRANSFORM the world.”

In Christian Love,
