What does Westminster College have to offer? Westminster College is delighted to offer its conference, meeting and dining facilities for your

organisation on a daily or residential basis. Located in the heart of Cambridge, with a peaceful

yet simulating atmosphere, you and your group can experience the unique charm and history the

building has to offer.

The Team

The dedicated Conference and Events team will help you plan each step of your event to

ensure every aspect is looked after from booking to departure.

Facilities

There are a total of six meeting rooms which each have their own unique style. The College’s

signature room is the grand Dining Hall with its cupola ceiling, oak panelled walls and bay

window. Our Chapel and Library are also open for visitors to use. The College also has a

selection of accommodation available, including two self-catering Cottages.

Accreditation

Westminster College are members of the MIA (Meeting Industry Association) and are

accredited by AIM.

AIM venues and service providers operate to a predetermined industry benchmarked

standard. This means they have processes and personnel that are competent and capable,

that venue facilities are appropriate and that operationally they are compliant with all

relevant legislation.

Audio/Visual Equipment

The following equipment is available to pre-book for conferences free of charge.

- Data projector/laptop computer/OHP - TV/DVD player

- Flipchart - Hearing loop

- PA system - Internet access

Parking & Location

There is parking on site, and the city centre is just a short walk away for groups wishing to

add some sight-seeing or an afternoon punting to the itinerary.

Arrival and Departure

For residential bookings, room check-in is available from 2.00pm. Room check-out is

10.00am and keys must be returned to the College Office. Luggage storage is available on

request, for guests arriving or departing outside of these times.

Catering

Meals can be served between the following times:

Breakfast - 7.30am - 9.00am, Lunch - 12 noon - 2.00pm, Dinner - 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Computer / Internet Access

All residential delegates will be provided a Wi-Fi code when they check in.

Day delegates may request a Wi-Fi code free of charge on arrival. A computer room on the

ground floor, complete with printer, is available to all guests. The door code is available from

the College Office to access the room.

Westminster College is delighted to offer its conference, meeting and dining facilities for

commercial conferences throughout 2015 and 2016. The rates quoted below assume use

of College standard conference menus and include meeting room hire for one room per

booking; charges apply for additional meeting rooms. To view our meeting rooms and their

capacities please refer to the meeting room summary sheet. These rates do not apply to

bookings from the URC, Church-related and certain registered charities.

Rates quoted are inclusive of VAT charged at the standard rate unless the conference qualifies for exemption.

Exemption is available on a number of grounds as set out in the College’s VAT Exemption Request Form. If it is

believed that the conference is exempt, the College’s Exemption Request Form must be completed and

submitted to the College for approval. The decision of the College in relation to the application of VAT is final.

Option 3 - Bowl Food

Bowl food is a stunning stand up food concept that is an ideal as an alternative to a finger buffet.

All dishes are served on trays in small bowls, in the conference room or a break-out area. Bowl food

can only be chosen if your delegate numbers are 20 or more.

Westminster College Conference Rooms

Details of our conference rooms, including layout options and the facilities available.

Healey Room

Named after Tim Healey, a benefactor of Westminster,

who taught at the College in the 1960’s.

This is the largest conference room in the College

and is suitable for a variety of layouts.

The room has a smart board and full AV equipment.

Cheshunt Room

Named after Cheshunt College,

founded by the Countess of Huntingdon in 1768.

Cheshunt College united with Westminster in 1967.

This room has been remodelled to serve equally well

for meetings or as a space to carry out arts and crafts. U-Shape

Assembly Room

The Assembly Room, a new function room next to the Dining Hall, was formerly used

as a library, and still has the original oak bookcases lining the walls.

Senatus Room

An exquisite panelled and vaulted room, originally

used as a rather grand staff meeting room when

the College was first built. This room is specifically

designed for conferences or meetings in a theatre

layout.

Gibson Room

Named after Margaret Gibson, one of the famous

Sisters of Sinai, this duck-egg blue oak panelled

dining room offers a stylish but cosy atmosphere.

This room can only be set up in a boardroom layout.

Named after Agnes Lewis, one of the famous

Sisters of Sinai, this beautiful space has a

feature fireplace and grand bay windows.

It is the perfect setting for an intimate

boardroom meeting or private dining space.
