CP&R was recently recognized

as HITT Contracting's 'Featured

Subcontractor'. We were

nominated for our teams'

dedication and attention to

detail on both the Southern

Towers and Wardman Tower

projects. According to Dave

Sommer and Ray Heverline,

both Senior Project Managers

with HITT, “CPR's attention to

safety, protection, and security

of the tenants has consistently

been above and beyond

requirements. Throughout both

projects CP&R has been professional

and responsive to the

many changes in

scope, fair in pricing,

and committed to

their agreed schedule.

A class act!"

CP&R is currently working on

the repair and coating of the

concrete balconies at the

Southern Towers in Alexandria,

VA and structural concrete

repairs at the “Landmark” 90

year old Wardman Tower in

Washington, D.C. Both the

Southern Towers and

Wardman Tower have been

occupied during the

repairs of cantilevered

balconies, acrylic soffit coating

and installation of a urethane

We welcome you to visit our crew at the

Three Bethesda Metro Center!

The Three Bethesda Metro Center

office building in Bethesda, MD was

constructed in 1985 and consists of a

17-story cast-in-place concrete

structure that is part of a complex

that also includes a Hyatt Regency

Hotel and the WMATA Bethesda

Metro Station. On 2014, CP&R

completed the repairs of the plaza

beams located over the escalators

that provide access to the Metro

Station as well as waterproofing and

necessary concrete repairs at an

expansion joint in the plaza level. On

July, 2015 CP&R started the

continuation of its repair at the

5-story below-grade parking garage

of The Three Bethesda Metro Center.

Amongst different concrete repairs,

CP&R will perform full depth flat and

pan slab repairs via hydrodemo and

High-Rise Category in the ICRI 2015

In late June 2010, the Dolphin

Tower was evacuated after the 4th

floor transfer slab, which supports

117 residential units in the tower

above, suffered major shear

cracking. Immediately, emergency

shoring was installed to carry the

loads of the tower columns

directly down to the building

foundation in order to supplement

The winner of the 3rd Quarter

Safety Award is Carlos Rivera

for his outstanding safety

performance at 1747

Pennsylvania Avenue. Carlos

had two entries into the 3rd

Quarter Safety Award

Nomination. One being for his

outstanding attention to all

safety matters at our project at

1747 Pennsylvania Ave and

another for our project at 2175 K

Street. Other nominations for the

Safety Award program were to

Erick Sandoval Medina who is

working at the Montgomery

County Executive Office Building

and Billy Rupert who is working at

the Allegheny Columns project. All

three entrants (Carlos, Erick and

Billy) are repeat entrants into the

Quarterly Safety Award program

Our August employee of the month

was Eduardo Rodriguez. Eduardo

has been working night shifts and is

always there when needed on

weekend jobs. He is always thinking

about how to increase productivity

and about completing the job in an

efficient manner, improving overall

quality and safety. He has a 'we can

do' attitude and that is exactly

what CP&R needs. Congratulations

Eduardo and thank you for always

having a positive attitude and being

willing to help.

Last, but not least, the nominated

employee for September was Jose

Flores. According to his nominator,

The employee nominated for the

month of July is Felipe Castro who

continually shows concern for

CP&R’s overall progress and image.

As pointed out by his nominator,

“Felipe consistently goes above and

beyond doing more than just what

is asked of him not only on the past

30 days, but at least in the last 7

years that I (the nominator) have

been with CP&R. He is my go to guy

with whatever job task we are faced

with. He is a man with pride in his

work. Whenever I get a new guy on

my job site I always put them with

Felipe so he can train and teach

them.”
