Concert tour Catalonia – 6 days

Target group: Youth choir

Program of the tour:

Day 1: Arrival Lloret de Mar

Arrival Lloret de Mar. Meet the assistance of music&friends. Check-in and dinner in the hotel.

Day 2: Guided tours Girona and Figueras

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. 09:00 h Meet your local guide and drive to Girona. Guided tour by walk in the historical centre (no entrance fees included). 13:00 h Lunch in a restaurant. Menu: Lasagne & grilled loin of pork & ice cream & mineral water 14:15 h Drive to the city of Figueras 15:30 h Visit of the museum of Salvador Dali (entrance fee included) Drive back to the hotel in Lloret de Mar. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 3: Guided tour Monastery Montserrat with performance

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. 09:00h Meet the local guide and drive to the Monastery Montserrat in the hills Western od Barcelona. Tour in the cathedral with the patroness of Catalonia, the “Black Madonna”. 12:40h Short performance of the choir at the main altar of the cathedral (maximum 10 minutes). After this, all visitors will sing “La Salve” and “El Virolai”. Drive to the restaurant. 14:00h Lunch. Menu: Buffet included mineral water After the lunch drive back to the hotel and time for individual activities. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 4: Tour to Tossa de Mar and concert

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. 09:00h Meet the local guide and drive to Tossa de Mar. Walk in this nice town at the seaside and time for shopping. Drive back to Lloret de Mar and lunch in a restaurant-pizzeria. Menu: Parts of pizza and Russian salad; Viennese Schnitzel with chips, ice cream; mineral water included). Free for individual activities or rehearsal for the concert. 18:45h Meet the local guide and drive to the Church St. Romà in Lloret de Mar. Arrival and warm-up in a room aside. 19:45h Individual concert in the church in Lloret de Mar. Go back to the hotel. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 5: Guided tour to Barcelona and concert

09:00h Meet the local guide and drive to Barcelona. Guided tour with the most important sights: Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, and more (no entrance fees included). 12:30h Free for individual lunch 13:30h Second part of the guided tour. Drive back to the hotel in Lloret de Mar Dinner in the hotel.

Day 6: Departure

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. In the morning check-out and departure.

Without local transport, 3-star-hotel, guided tours and meals as listened, organization of 2

performances, assistance and local guide in several languages: Costs about € 315 with 45

travellers in June 2017.

Possible to travel by flight to Barcelona or Girona. Many offers by several companies from

all over Europe.

Performances for music groups:

- Open air concert in the Spanish Village in Barcelona during the day.

- Open air concert in a town at the seaside at the Costa Brava

Performances for choirs:

- Mass service: The repertoire must be approved by the priest or parish.

- Friendship concert with local choirs at the Costa Brava or in Barcelona Comment of the choir: The stay in Lloret de Mar was perfectly organized! The hotel, food, organization of the concerts, trips to Girona, Montserrat, Barcelona and Figueres were excellent! Our boys, teachers and bus drivers were very, very satisfied.
