Greetings on behalf of UNCF!
Please join UNCF in celebrating our second annual 2017 UNCF St. Louis An Evening of Stars Concert Gala benefitting deserving students seeking higher education opportunities. The concert gala is scheduled for Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the Grandel Theater.
This music-filled evening will feature performances by Denise Thimes; the North County Big Band and Point of Jazz Ensemble featuring students from Riverview Gardens High School under the direction of Harvey Lockhardt; and a special concert performance by Lalah Hathaway*, a five-time Grammy award winner, including two Grammys from this year’s 2017 award show for “best traditional R&B performance and best album” and “Best R&B Album.”
To learn more about how your company can support this event, please see the information attached to this packet.
Thank you in advance for your support of the 2017 St. Louis UNCF An Evening of Stars Concert Gala. As our iconic motto states "A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but a wonderful thing to invest in."(R) By investing in this event and the numerous programs that support our students, you are helping develop the next generation of teachers, doctors, scientists, businessmen and businesswomen who will help shape America's future. I look forward to your reply and spending a wonderful evening together!

UNCF’s role in providing educational opportunities for students in Missouri and nationwide is more important than ever.
UNCF’s mission is to build a robust and nationally recognized pipeline of under-
represented students who, because of UNCF support, become highly qualified college
graduates and to ensure that our network of 37 member HBCUs is a respected model
of best practices in moving students to and through college. UNCF administers more
than 400 programs, including scholarship, internship and fellowship, mentoring,
summer enrichment and curriculum, and faculty development programs. UNCF
envisions a nation where all Americans have equal access to a college education
that prepares them for rich intellectual lives, competitive and fulfilling careers,
engaged citizenship and service to our nation. Today, UNCF supports more than
60,000 students at over 1,100 colleges and universities across the country. For more
information, go to UNCF.org.
Donations to UNCF help to keep tuition at our member institutions more than 30 percent lower than tuition at other comparable schools. that’s important, because over 90 percent of students at UNCF schools require some form of financial aid.
