About CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers

CONCACAF is the regional governing body for the United States,

Mexico, Canada, Central America and the Caribbean

The 2018 CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers will have a new format consisting of 5

elimination rounds to determine which nations qualify to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in

Russia. 35 member nations compete for three automatic spots to World Cup; the

fourth-place finisher will play a two-game playoff series against the CONMEBOL

qualifier to earn the final qualification spot.

Under the new format, a minimum of 60 matches will be broadcast, giving

the sponsors tremendous exposure, not only in the CONCACAF region,

but around the world.

Pairings for Round Three and Round Four of CONCACAF 2018 World Cup qualifying will take place

at the FIFA World Cup Qualifying Draw in St. Petersburg, Russia, on July 25, 2015.
