GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MIL-PRF-81309H is a highly

effective, water displacing,

non-staining, non-hardening,

non-conductive corrosion

preventative compound. It is

available as a bulk liquid or

aerosol. The Type II liquid

is suitable for general purpose

work. The aerosol is available

as a Type II and also Type Ill.

The Type Ill has a lower viscosity

and is designed for electronic

components. It will not emulsify

even in the presence of alkali.

It quickly displaces water from

metallic surfaces after machining

operations or after alkali

cleaning. The protective film of

MIL-PRF-81309H is ultra-thin,

non-staining and highly protective.

It is available in 1, 5 and 55

gallon bulk containers (Typell,

Class I) and aerosols (Type 11 and

Type Ill, Class II, Grades 134a).

WHERE TO USE

MIL-PRF-81309H can be used

on any metal surface such as

hinges, machinery, electronic

components and all types of

metallic sliding parts to provide

corrosion protection and

lubrication. The ease of

application of MIL-PRF-81309H

makes it particularly suited for

in-service use. It is intended

WHEN TO USE

for indoor and short term outdoor

protection and lubrication. For

outdoor applications it may be

necessary to recoat surfaces

as conditions require.

MIL-PRF-81309H is not

intended to be used in place of

compounds specified to provide

protection for more than one

month. Do not use around liquid

oxygen fittings.

HOW TO USE

Wipe off excess dirt and

moisture from surface to be

protected prior to applying.

Can be sprayed, brushed, or

dipped. Application by wiping

is not recommended. For best

results mix well

Use MIL-PRF-81309H as a

part of a regular maintenance

program to prevent rust

and corrosion.

WHERETO USE

MI L-DTL-85054D is intended for use on unpainted, metal surfaces. Use on or around fasteners, seams, access panels, and other areas where paint has been chipped. It is not intended as a lubricant for moving parts.

Use MIL-DTL-85054D as an integral part of a regular maintenance program to prevent rust and corrosion.
