Prisma TT
The functional system
The Prisma TT functional system can be used for all types of low-voltage distribution switchboards and motor control centers up to 3200A, in buildings and industrial environments.
Design of the Switchboard is very simple.
A metal structureThe switchboard is made up of a single framework combined side-by-side, on which complete selection of cover panels and doors can be mounted.
A distribution systemHorizontal busbars or vertical busbars positioned in a lateral compartment or at the rear of the cubicle are used to distribute electricity throughout the switchboard.
Complete functional unitsEach device is part of a functional unit comprising:
• A dedicated mounting plate for device installation
• A Partial door
• Busbar connections
Each functional unit contributes to a function in the switchboard.
The functional units are modular and are arranged rationally, one on top of another, within the enclosure.
The system includes everything required for functional unit mounting, supply and on-site connection.
The components of the Prisma TT system and those of the functional units in particular have been designed and tested taking into account device characteristics. This design approach ensures a high degree of reliability in system operation and optimum safety of personnel.

ModularityPrisma TT switchboards are designed on the 50mm moduleprinciple. Fixing holes are made available at 25mm distances as needed.
The shaded zone consists of 37 x 50mm modules. This is the zone where the switchgear and busbars are installed:
• 4 modules for the horizontal busbar,
• 33 modules for the switchgear
Noted: Vertical busbars for distribution columns are to be mounted in the 200mm frames.
• All sheet metal parts are made sheet steel which are pre-treated for corrosion protection and finally applied with Epoxy Powder paint of 60 to 80 microns thickness.
• Doors & covers - 1.5mm thick
• Frames, mounting plates, gland plates - 2mm thick
• Internal separations - 1.5mm thick
FrameworkThe frame work is made of rigid, formed sections usedas uprights. The basic Prisma TT frameworks are available inthree widths:
• 400mm (dedicated cubicle for NS630b-NS1600)
• 500mm (dedicated cubicle for NT06-NT16)
• 650mm & 800mm (dedicated cubicle for NW08-NW32)
• 800mm (made up of 600+200mm, where 200mm is assigned for vertical busbars)
The following extension frameworks are available as cablecompartments for front access.
• 300mm
• 400mm

Framework combinationsSide-by-sideTo maintain IP54 degree of protection, a gasket must be installed between the combined cubicles.
Switchboard depth :
• 600 mm
• 800 mm
• 1000 mm
Note:
* Consider 1000 mm depth for Form-4 Rear Access Panels with Draw-out/Plug-in MCCB Feeders.
* Consider 800mm depth for Form-4 Rear Access Panels with Fixed MCCB Feeders.
Right Angle KitA standard IP30 metal duct is available that is used to create andprotect the connection of horizontal busbars between two cubiclesinstalled at right angles.(Cat. No. 08713L)
Lifting RingsA set of four Lifting rings per column are available as an option. (Cat. No. 08700L).
• Can be installed and removed without removing the roof.
• Even if they are left attached, the switchboard conserves its IP rating.

Busbars
BusbarPrisma TT provides electrical switchboards with a complete and consistent system capable of supplying electrical energy where it is needed:
• Modern, high-performance type tested busbar system.
• Perfectly sized, prefabricated connections
• Distribution blocks that bend perfectly with the devices.
All components are put through rigorous tests with Schneider Electric devices to ensure that the resulting switchboards are dependable and comply with International standard IEC 61439- 1 & 2.
Busbar calculationThe bars are secured by insulated supports attached to the framework. The following tables indicate:
• The number and size of the bars to be used, depending on the permissible current level in the busbars.

Horizontal & Vertical Busbars
Distance between supports in Horizontal and vertical busbarThe busbar supports ensure mechanical resistance of the main circuit and in particular when a short-circuit occurs. The maximum distance between the supports depends on the rated short-time withstand current, on the number and cross-section of the bars.
Install busbar supports as indicated in the tables below:

• Prisma TT Switchboards are supplied by Schneider Electric to the panel builder i.e., switchboard is assembled as per General Arrangement / Layout drawings including sheet metal parts and busbar supports.
• All doors will be plain without cut-outs.
• Panel builders scope of work includes assembly of switchgear devices ( circuit breakers, motor starters, etc.), assembly of busbar, wiring, Routine test, quality control and inspection.
• In addition to the standard column references, the panel builder needs to include optional accessories such as side panels, HBB Fish plates, Hor-ver BB joint screws common to a complete switchboard.
• The main advantage of this arrangement will be Schneider Electric’s validation of the drawings prepared by the panel builder for each project in order to ensure that it complies with the type tested design and Schneider Electric’s recommendations.

8. Typical Configuration for a complete switchboard – Example
From the project single line drawing and specification,
• Determine current rating, short-circuit rating, form of separation, cable entry, access, etc.
• Assign dedicated columns for Incomers and Bus Coupler
• Assign module height for each outgoing circuit breaker from the Installation Table... find sum of modules... divide by 33 (37M – 4M, where 4M is for Hor BB) to determine number of outgoing columns.
For the above sketch, ordering references will be as per the list below:
