Worship Notes:Participants: Clive Wilson, Kettering College Chaplain, presents today’s sermon. Ron Hoehn is aMicrosoft systems manager for the U.S. Senate in Washington, DC. Loretta Čák is an early childhoodeducation specialist, Kamil Čák is a chaplain at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Jerry Tayloris the minister of worship and music.

The music for today’s service is played on four pianos by eight pianists, sixteen hands. The pianists are:Martha Jean Hoehn – elementary music teacher in Gaithersburg, MarylandJerry Taylor – Kettering Church Minister of Music

About the Music: is a wonderful arrangement for two pianos by Mark Hayes of HymnNo. 12 which originated as the theme for the last movement of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Mark Hayes isfrom Kansas City, MO and is often heard in piano duo with Jeff Bennett.

is from Jean Sibelius’s heard in an arrangement for pianoensemble (sixteen hands) by John W. Schaum. It was composed for the Phoenix Piano Festival. John Schaumwas an American piano teacher from Milwaukee who published many piano teaching courses and sold millionsof copies.

is also known as andby Johannes Brahms.

The first movement of J.S. Bach’s was arranged for theby Robert Bardeen.

George F. Handel’s from “Water Music Suite” (often incorrectly called the “Hornpipe”) isheard in an arrangement for piano ensemble by Virginia Speiden Carper.
