Effective hole-cleaning with consistent connection practice 2. Minimise off-bottom work to maintain a gauge hole for good hole cleaning and tripping conditions # Operational Description Comments 1. Drill stand down Driller to inform on radio when connection passes table for depth calibration – do not stop Verify depth 2. Pull off bottom + 2m using max 1 min Keep drilling RPM Keep 100% flow Read torque and weight as required Full drilling parameters for maximum hole-cleaning. 3. Stop rotation 4. P/U and record stable up and down weight Pull up 3-5 m and go down, max 10 m/min 100% flow moving up If ECD is high, stop 10sec on top before moving down 100% flow moving down if conditions allows (else 80% flow moving down) Stop pumps 100% flow to maintain hole-cleaning. 5. Set slips on downward movement and make connection Fill pipe immediately w/400-1000lpm* while M/U connection Do not start rotation * Dependent on hole condition and hole size. Minimize static time to avoid settling of cuttings. 6. Survey and Start up sequence When returns increase to 100% flow (max 1 min) Open slips Open compensator if required Wait 30-45 seconds after reached minimum turn on flow for MWD (300 gpm) Increase to drilling RPM If delayed survey is used, go directly to drilling without waiting on (IN-SYNC) Obtain survey and apply hole cleaning parameters as fast as possible. 7. Drill ahead Check pressure response when going on bottom Avoid going on bottom too fast. Excellent consistency

Objective 1. Effective hole-cleaning with consistentconnection practice

    2. Minimise off-bottom work to maintain a gaugehole for good hole cleaning and trippingconditions

    # Operational Description Comments

    1.

Drill stand down Driller to inform on radio when connection passes

table for depth calibration do not stop

    Verify depth

    2.

Pull off bottom + 2m using max 1 min Keep drilling RPM Keep 100% flow Read torque and weight as required

Full drilling parameters for maximum hole-cleaning.

    3. Stop rotation

    4.

P/U and record stable up and down weight Pull up 3-5 m and go down, max 10 m/min 100% flow moving up If ECD is high, stop 10sec on top before moving down 100% flow moving down if conditions allows (else

80% flow moving down) Stop pumps

    100% flow to maintain hole-cleaning.

    5.

Set slips on downward movement and make connection Fill pipe immediately w/400-1000lpm* while M/U

    connection Do not start rotation

    * Dependent on hole condition and hole size.

Minimize static time to avoid settling of cuttings.

    6.

Survey and Start up sequence When returns increase to 100% flow (max 1 min) Open slips Open compensator if required Wait 30-45 seconds after reached minimum turn on

flow for MWD (300 gpm) Increase to drilling RPM

If delayed survey is used, go directly to drilling withoutwaiting on (IN-SYNC)

Obtain survey and apply hole cleaning parameters as fastas possible.

    7.Drill ahead

Check pressure response when going on bottomAvoid going on bottom too fast.

    Excellent consistency
