Kratos Engineering Limited came into being on 23rd August, 2014. Our H.Q offices are

located in the Heavy industrial area of Kitwe –Zambia on sub A of plot No. 6997, Lyoneno

Road Heavy Industrial Area, Kitwe. Kratos Engineering Limited is registered with Zambian

2.0 DESCRIPTION OF PRINCIPLE BUSINESS

2.1 Client Satisfaction

Kratos Engineering Ltd is a contracting firm in the construction industry in

Zambia and has been established to carry out various engineering functions in

Zambia and other countries. Our traditional business model is based on all the

engineering disciplines in Zambia. These are consultancy, civil constructions,

mechanical and structural fabrication and installation, electrical installation,

mechanical and electrical equipment repairs, manufacturing and supply of

various fasteners such as bolts and flanges, plumbing works, rehabilitation of

various equipment, supply of any equipment as the customer may need. Our

objective is to deliver services and products of good quality to the satisfaction

of our clients at a lower price and within the minimal possible time frame

thereby adding value to their money.

2.2 Employee Satisfaction

Apart from bringing satisfaction to our clients, Kratos Engineering Ltd also

strive to bring satisfaction to all our employees. We do this because we know

that satisfied employees will bring more production to the company.

2.3 Social Investment

We want members of the communities in areas where we are conducting

business to look at Kratos Engineering Ltd as a caring organization. We will

therefore be involved in community outreach programmes; building class

blocks and donate them to schools which are lacking learning shelter, donating

of medications to hospitals that are in need, providing material possessions to

orphanage homes.

All our staff members will always be motivated to go for the voluntary

counselling and testing (VCT) programmes with respect to HIV/AIDS. In

conjunction with relevant health officials, staff members who are found HIV

positive are be encouraged to join the free ARV government programmes. This

is our policy to help fight this pandemic. Staff members found HIV negative do

also get necessary health education under our supervision.

Kratos Engineering Ltd is committed to the enhancement of the skills of its

employees thus its subscription to the Construction Education and Training

Authority (CETA) skills programmes. We help create sustainable wealth to the

previously disadvantaged individuals by offering them jobs and training

programmes. Thus empowering those individuals by creating the sustainable

wealth-creating activities in their lives.

We also harness unemployed construction skills in the previously

disadvantaged areas and take them through recognition of prior process to

ensure certification and recognition

The purpose of Kratos is to be a leader in the engineering excellency by providing enhanced services, relationship and profitability.

Kratos conducts engineering activities marketing as well as consulting. The company

undertakes all maintenance duties for real estate and equipment facilities and organizations..

ELECTRICAL WORKS

-Various switchgear installations – low/high voltage -Supply & installation of 400v, 550v and 11kv switchboards -11kv overhead line installations -Supply of circuit breakers, isolators, current transformers, low/medium voltage transformers - Transformer oil filtration -house & building wiring design and installations -street lighting design, installation and commissioning -solar energy equipment supply and implementation -transformer refurbishments. Sizes up to 5MVA -installation of outdoor switchgear up to 66kv

3.1 Building

We build residential buildings; low cost houses and houses in low density

areas. We also build commercial buildings, classroom blocks etc.

3.2 Civil Works

We do concrete works and all related activities i.e. steel fixing, scaffolding

and formwork (Shuttering) and concrete casting. We also construct water

supply schemes, new roads and do road maintenance to existing roads, water

works installations, maintenance and rehabilitations

3.3 Electrical Works

We do electrical supply, installations and maintenance.

3.4 Plumbing

Kratos Engineering Ltd is also involved in new plumbing projects and also

plumbing maintenance projects.

3.5 Renovations

Renovations include residential, commercial buildings, plant installations,

highway roads maintenance, rail road maintenance

3.6 Roofing

We do supply, installation of new roofs on new houses and restoration and

renovations of old broken roofs and ceilings.

3.7 Partitioning

We do partitioning in offices, shops and houses. This includes kitchen units

etc.

Kratos Engineering Ltd believes that the management of environment is every person’s

responsibility; therefore, it is our resolve that the disposal of waste products (oil, florescent tubes, oil filters, batteries, human waste etc) is done within the confines of the Environmental Protection Act and any other acts. Fortunately for us ZEMA offices are now within our

province and easily accessible.

8.0 BRIEF COMPANY HISTORY

All the members of Kratos Engineering Ltd have worked in the construction industry before

individually. In July 2014 they met and discussed of starting a private limited company of

their own so that they convey the experience obtained into this new business.

The members have gained a wide range of skills in strategic planning; customer service;

hiring and off-hiring of employees; management of finances; management of employees;

management of construction processes; implementation of new skills and the

implementation of ideas in new employees. They carry out the employee training, financial

management and check randomly the quality control on the service.

With such expertise everyone at Kratos Engineering Ltd intend to grow our business from

the tender stage to unlimited stage starting from July 2014.

All the members at Kratos Engineering Ltd have other side businesses in progress in other

industries like the engineering industry, the retail industry, the hospitality industry and the

farming industry.
