Community Walk to School Wednesday Annual Event! Wednesday, October 16 @ 7:30am Our Demarest PTO sponsors a Walk-to-School Wednesday program to promote healthy activity, a healthier environment (reduced emissions and traffic congestion), as well as community-building. The program is designed to encourage our children to walk or bike to school every day, but on Wednesdays, we incentivize them. If your child walks or bikes to school on Wednesday, then s/he submits name in the walking jar, and at the end of each month, the principal pulls one name from the jar. September winners are getting personalized water bottles. October winners will get a day pass to High Exposure. Each month is different, and once a year the whole community gathers for breakfast, and we all walk to school together. Community Walk to School Wednesday - October 16 (Oct 23 rain date) 7:30am - Meet in Gazebo in town for yummy smoothies and healthy breakfast treats 8:00am - Walk to school in the ultimate walking groups of Demarest kids, teachers & town leaders We hope to see you all there!
