Community Helpers

Who are community Helpers?

Community helpers are the people who help us in our everyday lives.

They are people like, Firemen, Dentists, Doctors, Librarians, Teachers, Policemen, Garbage men, Mailmen, and so on.

They educate us, help keep us safe, and provide us with services.

What should we do when we see a community

helper?•Give them a warm, friendly greeting.

•Be thankful and respectful.

•Write them a note or a thank you card.

•Help them by doing your part, such as following the rules.

How can we help the community Helpers?

Be good in school:• Follow rules• Be respectful• Do your work• Be honestFollow safety rules:• Wear your helmet and seatbelt• Walk on the sidewalk and use crosswalksTake care of your environment:• Recycle• Don’t littler• Help clean up a park or community center
