From then on, she has been continuously participating in the village’s community activities related to health improvements. Having been a health care worker for over 10 years, Kamiatun fully understands the importance of accessible health service. She is one of the health care providers involved in the community health service and emergency preparedness program supported by ExxonMobil Indonesia in partnership with a local NGO from Bojonegoro focusing on health services. Since 2014, Kamiatun has participated in various healthcare and emergency preparedness trainings provided by the program. She leads the implementation of the new practices and learnings received from the program in Mojodelik village’s health post located in her own house. The community health service and emergency preparedness program has been implemented in four villages (Mojodelik, Gayam, Bonorejo and Brabowan) in Gayam sub-district, Bojonegoro, where the Banyu Urip oil field operated by ExxonMobil Indonesia is located. For the past year, as many as 48 health consultations and general medical examination have been conducted which has benefitted more than 6,000 community members. By involving the local health care providers from each village, the program has successfully engaged the local villagers to regularly check their health condition through consultations and medical examinations. ExxonMobil also supports the provision of supplementary food for children under five in each village to ensure their need of good nutrient intake. Aside from that, the program also established an emergency preparedness network to help guide the local villagers in an event of emergency requiring medical first aid. “I have learned a lot since I participated in this program,” said Kamiatun. “Now, I get to practice what I learned by providing monthly medical examination to 90 children in my village.” Kamiatun also wrote a guide-book for fellow providers in her village to help them deliver the correct information about the community health service during numerous community activities. Merupakan seorang warga asli Desa Mojodelik, Bojonegoro, Jawa Timur, Kamiatun memulai perjalanannya sebagai kader di usia muda sejak ia membantu sang ibu yang juga merupakan kader posyandu di desanya. Ia kemudian terus melanjutkan partisipasinya dalam pengembangan pelayanan kesehatan desa.
Dengan pengalaman sebagai kader kesehatan selama lebih dari 10 tahun, Kamiatun sepenuhnya mengerti akan pentingnya akses terhadap layanan kesehatan masyarakat. Ia merupakan salah satu kader yang tergabung dalam program layanan kesehatan dan unit kegawat daruratan yang didukung oleh ExxonMobil Indonesia bermitra dengan LSM lokal Bojonegoro yang bergerak dalam bidang pelayanan kesehatan.
Sejak tahun 2014, Kamiatun telah berpartisipasi dalam berbagai pelatihan layanan kesehatan dan kegawat daruratan melalui program tersebut. Ia memimpin pelaksanaan praktik-praktik dan ilmu baru yang didapatkan dari pelatihan di Posyandu Desa Mojodelik yang berlokasi di rumahnya sendiri.
Program pelayanan kesehatan dan unit kegawat daruratan pada masyarakat telah dilaksanakan di empat desa (Mojodelik, Gayam, Bonorejo, dan Brabowan) di Kecamatan Gayam, Bojonegoro, di mana Lapangan Minyak Banyu Urip yang dioperasikan oleh ExxonMobil Indonesia berlokasi. Dalam setahun terakhir, telah terlaksana 48 kali penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan kesehatan yang memberikan manfaat kepada lebih dari 6.000 warga.
Dengan melibatkan kader posyandu desa, program ini telah berhasil mengajak masyarakat untuk memeriksakan kondisi kesehatan mereka melalui konsultasi dan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin. ExxonMobil turut mendukung Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) kepada para balita di setiap desa untuk memastikan kebutuhan mereka akan asupan gizi yang baik. Selain itu, sebuah jaringan unit kegawat daruratan telah terbentuk untuk memandu masyarakat pada situasi gawat darurat.
“Saya telah belajar banyak hal melalui program ini,” ujar Kamiatun. “Sekarang, saya dapat mempraktikkan ilmu tersebut dengan memberikan layanan kesehatan bulanan kepada 90 balita di Desa Mojodelik.”
Kamiatun turut menerbitkan buku panduan yang bertujuan untuk membantu kader-kader lainnya dalam menyampaikan informasi yang tepat terkait pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat.
Saat ini, ia terlibat di program kesehatan serupa yang berfokus pada kesadaran kesehatan masyarakat yang didukung oleh ExxonMobil bermitra dengan STIKES ICSADA, sebuah LSM lokal Bojonegoro.
“Saya akan terus membantu menyediakan akses layanan kesehatan terutama bagi balita dan anak-anak, sehingga mereka dapat tumbuh sehat dan dapat berkontribusi untuk desa ini di masa depan.”
