Medicare Planning for Baby Boomers Frank Vitale, CRPC® ChFEBCLike Social Security, Medicare is far more complicated than most people realize. Many new retirees are largely unprepared to deal with this mandatory health care program, especially if they’ve been automatically covered by health insurance at work. The biggest shock is that Medicare is not automatic; you have to sign up for it within a specified period of time. It is not free, so supplemental insurance is essential. Regardless of how healthy you may be, it is wise to prepare for serious medical costs in retirement. This class reviews some of the timelines and questions that baby boomers face as they plan their retirement. Please note: Savvy Social Security Planning and Medicare Planning are a series. We recommend that you take both.1 Session. Fee: $19, Senior Fee: $14Code AB32S2017 7:00-9:00pm Tue 4/18 Room 1414

Information presented in this class is especially valuable for married couples where one or the other has been a bigger earner over the years. Variables such as claiming order and timing of benefit claims can make an appreciable difference in the lifetime income of a spouse who worked in the home. Workers nearing retirement or those who have a decade of work in front of them will learn more about Social Security. Please note: Savvy Social Security Planning and Medicare Planning are a series.
