  • UOW & CCCU Articulation Program

    This program will provide an opportunity for CCCU students who have successfully completed Associate of Arts in Bilingual Communication Studies (with either French or Spanish major) to articulate to a Bachelor of Arts degree offered by the University of Wollongong. This program is designed not only to facilitate the needs of further developing knowledge and skills required as a linguist (French or Spanish) but also to allow students to broaden their personal interests in the arts and humanities. The 2-year study at CCCU will be recognised as credit for prior learning, which equals to 48 credit points (1-year full time study load) towards the 144 credit points required by the Bachelor of Arts at UOW. Therefore, the length of study Bachelor of Arts at UOW will be reduced from 3 years to 2 years under normal circumstances (i.e. full-time study load). Recommended commencing session for CCCU students is Autumn session which normally starts in late February.

    Overview

  • UOW & CCCU Articulation Program

    CCCU students will only need to complete a minimum of 96 credit points (= 2-year full time study) at UOW to qualify for award of Bachelor of Arts with following instructions:

    • Step 1: complete a Major study (48 credit points) - if CCCU students want to continue studying in either French or Spanish Major, they only need to study four more core subjects which is worth of 24 credit points (see next page for detailed information); alternatively, they can choose to study a different major from the BA major list, in that case, the 2-year CCCU program would be recognised as a Minor (French or Spanish)

    Step 2: complete either a second Major study (minimum 48 credit points and maximum 60 credit points) from within the Faculty of Law, Humanities and the Arts (LHA)

    OR, a Minor study (minimum of 24 credit points) from within LHA

    Step 3: depends on the combination of step 1 and 2, the rest of credit points can be filled up by completing elective subjects offered within LHA (or from another UOW Faculty), to the value of at least 96 credit points

    Notes:

    1. Second Major can be chosen from the list of Bachelor of Arts majors or alternatively, students may consider followings majors which are outside of the Bachelor of Arts majors:

    * Digital Media and Communication

    * Global Media and Communication

    * Global Sustainable Development

    * Journalism and Professional Writing

    2. At least 24 credit points of subjects completed at the 300-level within the major must be at a pass mark or better

    3. Not more than 60 credit points can be taken in 100-level subjects

    4. Study Abroad subjects can only be counted as electives
