the courtyard Youth theatre is a vibrant and popular series of sessions with either

david durant, kate ganderton, ellen dorsett or helen durant. each term

you’ll learn new skills, increase your confidence and have lots of fun! there are limited places available for some

Aimed for those with slightly more advanced skills than our beginners, you will get the opportunity to create your own

bEgINNER FIlm mAkINg ClUbif you’re new to film making this is the class for you. being part of our crew of young film-makers, you will learn to direct, edit and even star, in your own short film.

SHAkESpEARE IN THE pRImARY ClASSROOmled by education officer, david durant, these sessions will explore the structure and main themes of your chosen shakespeare text for ks2 and can be followed up with extra workshops exploring the main characters and a stage combat workshop!

ROAlD DAHl lITERACY pROJECTworking with the education team, your class will undertake a five week project exploring one of dahl’s texts. Analysing the characters, themes and structure, this project culminates in an end performance at the courtyard.

Amongst a variety of activities, we run weekly Youth theatre groups at Fairfield high school and peterchurch church in the golden Valley and at kington primary school in conjunction with lady hawkins secondary school.
