 Austin District Free Store —Today’s First Sunday Mission Offering sup- ports the Austin District Free Store. On March 2, the Free Store opensits doors at its permanent location, 1717 E. 12th St. in east Austin, adja-cent to Simpson UMC. This ministry provides clothing and household  goods and encourages community. To volunteer, call Matt Cardona inthe Austin District Office, 444-1983.  Secret Prayer Pals — Once again, Spiritual Care ministry invites the Berkeley congregation to participate in “Secret Prayer Pals” during the

week that includes Valentine’s Day, February 14th

. Look for the Valen-tine’s box and basket in the narthex. There will be hearts upon which you write your prayer request, then place them in the box. On February10th , the hearts will be drawn at random following each service and theSecret Prayer Pal will be in intentional prayer for that prayer request during Valentine’s week as an expression of our love and care for eachother.

 Shrove Tuesday —Berkeley’s annual Shrove Tuesday “Gourmet Break- fast for Dinner” will be Tuesday, February 12, in the Fellowship Hall,5:30 — 6:45 p.m.. Come and enjoy scrambled eggs, sausages, blintzes,cinnamon rolls, biscuits, fruit, and an assortment of toppings! A loveoffering will go to the Berkeley UMC General Fund. Please RSVP viaemail to Bridgette Reece at [email protected] or sign up in the foyer.

 Prime Timers —  All adults 55 and more are invited to hear beautiful mu-

 sic for Valentine’s Day at the covered dish dinner this Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall. Call Rita Littlefield (441-3444) for more information.

 Scout Sunday —  February 10 is Scouting Ministries Sunday in the United  Methodist Church. All current Scouts are invited to wear their uniformsin worship that day. All current and former Scouts and leaders will berecognized in worship.

 Ash Wednesday Services —  Berkeley will offer two worship services on Ash Wednesday, February 13, at 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m.
