for making the day fantastic and the Esperance Christian Primary

school for hosting the day. I heard that it was a great day, although a bit

cold, and students tried their Personal Best with all events. Well done

to Riley Wandel, Taylor Harris, Ben Raszyk and Emma Curnow on

receiving a championship award for either being a runner up champion

or a champion for your age group.

there are plenty of days still available, so if you have not handed yours

in please can they be handed in early next term. Your support in the

classroom is much appreciated and the children love having someone in

to show off all the groovy things they have done in the classroom.

Thank you again to the whole school community for a fantastic term,

your support towards the school has made the term run smoothly and

my transition in this new role a positive one, which I hope will continue

on through Term 2. Have a Eggcellent Easter!

There has been a change to the format of Fruit days in Term 2. Students in Years 1-7

will bring their own fruit to school and eat that at recess. The reason for the change is

that some students are not eating enough fruit before getting a snack out of their bag

or before going out to play.

There is still going to be a strong emphasis on healthy eating and manners during the

trial as students will not start eating until everyone is out of class and if a student is

hungry after finishing a piece of fruit then he/she can get a healthy snack out of his/

her bag.

Below is a list of healthy snacks.

Raw vegetables Berries eg cranberries, blue berries, cherries Celery Carrots Cabbage beetroot Lettuce Seeds Capsicum, Cucumber Dried fruit Fresh Fruit Sultanas Dates Hard cheese Plain muesli bars—no chocolate or yoghurt on top. Beans Snow peas Eggs– boiled Nuts This is only a trial and will be reviewed with both students and staff at the end of

Term 2. It seems that some people have got off to a great start and others, like me, have not. . .oh well 23 rounds to

make up for it! If you would still like to be a part of the competition, come and grab a package from the

office. You will be given away team wins up until you hand your tips in (this worked well for people who

did not hand in their tips in Round 1!)
