Proposal for Convergence with NFSM

1. Unit area coverage• As per Model unit approach of NABARD, ultimate goal is
to cover 1.0 acre per farmer from third year• Area coverage during second year is 0.50 acre/farmer• Programme is already under implementation hence may
not be possible to ensure one acre coverage in II year as suggested under NFSM
• The eligible financial component under NFSM is considered proportionately for 0.50 acres which works out to Rs.1420/farmer
• Balance cost to be considered from NABARD component

• Programme was launched from Kharif 2010 in identified States
• Both in NFSM-Rice and non-NFSM districts are covered.
• A total of 137 units were sanctioned involving a total financial commitment of Rs. 18.46 crore phased over two year period.
• Out of this, 63 units sanctioned in 39 NFSM–Rice districts involving a financial commitment of Rs. 9.20 crore, against which NFSM component works out at Rs. 4.45 crore.
• Rs. 1.57 crore stands disbursed by NABARD in NFSM districts.
