Utilizando los datos medidos en tierra simultáneamente a los tres años de imágenes de satélite, se entrena una expresión en la que se añaden a la nubosidad variables explicativas como: la declinación, y seis variables cualitativas binarias, fruto de la combinación de seis situaciones posibles:

sur (<38º), centro (38º<centro<42º) o norte (>42º).

Hora del día:

mañana (slot = 21) o tarde (slot = 25 o 27)
