TCAT’s main hub is centered in downtown Ithaca with 4 major stops on either side of the Ithaca Commons. Many TCAT routes start, end, or pass through the Commons area so chances are good that you can make a connection from one of the Commons Stops. There is also a hub on Cornell Campus. These racks can help cyclists tame the hills and weather of Tompkins County. There is no additional fare for using the bike racks. Bike racks are first come, first served. Each bus can carry 2 bikes. For safety reasons, the driver cannot get off the bus to assist you. See our schedule & service guide for instructions on how to load and unload your bike. Instructions are also located on each bike rack. All people using the rack must be strong enough to load and unload their bike. Children 10 or younger must be accompanied by an adult to load and unload bikes. Bike racks are used at your own risk. Don’t have a smart phone? No problem. Find the stop number on your bus stop sign or online and text TC+the stop number (ex: TC8888) to 321-123. Printed service guides are available at various locations on campus and around town. my ® Updated August 2019 TC3 Students: You can purchase bus pass privileges at a discounted rate loaded right onto your TC3 student ID card. TC3 passes must be purchased with Panther Dollars through your myCARD account. Unlimited Fall or Spring Semester passes are $110. Summer semester pass is just $55. TC3 Student Semester pass Use your TC3 photo ID card at the fare box to access unlimited-use transit privileges on all TCAT buses, at any time, anywhere. To Purchase a Pass Bus passes can be purchased online by depositing Panther Dollars. Go to myTC3 and select myCard and follow the login process. From there, add cash by credit card, make your deposit. Then select “service” and then “buy a pass.” The TC3 photo ID card is the fare medium and must be presented at the fare box-and read electronically-in order to ride at no cost. It can take up to two days for the pass to activate, so students will have to pay regular fare to board the bus until the card is active. Swipe Your TC3 ID at the Fare Box!
