This staff member was the first female to ride a steer
in the Lamesa Rodeo and was the Fisher Co. Rodeo
Queen in 1982. She has six grandchildren and another
expected to make their grand appearance in May. She
loves to snow ski and vacation in Ruidoso, NM. She
raises longhorns, koi, goldfish and goats and has been on
our campus for 24 years.
If you know who this incredible staff member is, stop by
Coach C.’s classroom and see if you won!
Teacher Spotlight
For our teacher spotlight this week we interviewed Coach
Lowry, volleyball coach and beloved math teacher. One
of the many things we learned about Coach Lowry is that
she has two children. One named Michael, age 14, and
another Matthew, age 20. Speaking of children, we asked
if she had any pets and she has three, named Domino,
Oreo, and Cowboy. Coach Lowry’s favorite book is
Reach For The Summit by Pat Summit. Even though
she’s new to us, she has been teaching for 21 years at
other schools! Coach Lowry is a farm girl; she has owned
sheep and cows. Like a lot of people, her favorite sport
to watch is basketball. Coach Lowry stated she would be
a lawyer if she didn't fulfill her dream of being a teacher.
Now you know a little bit more about our own Coach
Lowry, and hopefully you will learn more about her
throughout the year!

PEX Team Winners

For this week’s student spotlight the staff chose Danner
Foust. Danner is currently an eighth grader on campus.
He is involved in many extracurricular activities which
include football, band, basketball, track, TMSCA and
UIL Chess. Danner is the PEX leader for the 25 pilots
team and is very active in his youth group at Trinity
Baptist. When we interviewed Danner, he told us a few
anecdotes. He said the leg on his bed broke, and they
didn’t have anything to fix it, so his parents used a can of
ravioli to hold it up! Now, if he gets hungry in the middle
of the night he won’t have to go to the kitchen. Danner
also enjoys the outdoors. He stated that he loves to fish
and used to have a pet deer named Piper. One of Danner’s
many talents is solving a rubrics cube in under a minute.
How crazy is that? If you see Danner in the hall be sure
to congratulate him on being this week’s student
spotlight!
