FLOORFIX

Floorfix HT has been tested for vibration conditions to simulate the most common applications where the fixings would be used e.g. walkways, machine shops and press shops. Please ask our technical department for a copy of the certificate should you require this.

Note 1: We would recommend using the 12mm version when vibration conditions are incurred as this can be tightened to a higher torque.

Note 2: If the steelwork being connected to is thicker than 25mm then we can supply packers and a longer bolt to increase the fixing range.

• Allows for +/- 6mm construction tolerance • Can fix up to 25mm thick steel as standard • Galvanised finish as standard • Easily installed from the top side only • No drilling, tapping or welding required • Allows easy repositioning or lifting of floor plate • No special tools or skilled labour required • No access to the underside required • Tested for vibration conditions at TUV

GRP PROFILES & FIXINGS

These pultruded GRP profiles can be used in a wide range of applications and offer a unique combination of chemical resistance, size stability, high strength, thermal and electric non-conductivity. Each composite structure is available in a range of sizes to suit your application requirements.

GRP structural profiles are made from glass reinforced isophthalic polyester resin, reinforced with glass fibre with a continuous strand mat and polyester surface veil layer. This combination gives excellent corrosion resistance and durability at an economic cost compared to Steel and Aluminium.

The standard BS EN 13706, defines two grades for pultruded profiles. Those with a wall thickness of over 5mm meet the higher performance E23 grade and those between 3-5mm meet the E17 grade.

Tactile flooring is a 4mm thick GRP tile incorporating raised profiles to warn people when they are approaching a change in elevation such as railway platforms, pedestrian crossings, staircase ascent and descent areas as well as many other applications.

Tiles are glued and screwed to the existing substrate therefore eliminating the need for costly excavation.

A fast, convenient way of providing solid, slip resistant footing to existing stairs.

The contrasting coloured nosing complies with the UK Building Regulations as applicable from May 2004 and those obligations required under the DDA. The tread cover is easy to install and can be applied to almost any surface including concrete, steel or wood.

The excellent anti-slip properties provide increased safety on steps and stairs and the high contrasting colour aids visibility. The grit is embedded into a specially pultruded GRP profile which is resistant to swelling, stretching or warping. Its strength means that it will help cover lightly chipped stair edges making them safer whilst protecting the stair edge itself to further damage.

Fibre step nosing has been developed as a cost-effective, long-term solution to the obligations under the DDA Part 3 and in particular, the sections relevant to the partially sighted; in essence, all stairs accessible by members of the public, should have a contrasting coloured nosing fitted to the step edges and in addition, such nosing should provide a slip resistant top surface.

Available in two sizes, the 70 x 30mm is the standard and 55 x 55mm to meet current Building Regulations, with the maximum length of 3m, which can easily be cut on site.

Type I with its smaller grit size is usually for internal use. Type E with a much heavier grit profile is ideal for the rigours of the external environment.
