I could quickly see how many people answered with what, and it was easy to analyse. If I had used more qualitative research it would have been very time consuming, and harder to analyse. Although this is the case, the questions I had may not have given the participants the chance to put as accurate answers as they wanted. What I mean by this is that they may not have had an option suited to their needs. If I had asked more qualitative questions I would have found out more helpful data. I used an even amount of girls and boys to make sure that this questionnaire had good Population Validity. From my results I can see that there are likely to be few people over the age of 18. What this data shows me is that 16-18 should be the ideal age range to aim my magazine at. This means the style of my magazine may be more informal, and certainly more specific to youthful needs. From my other questions I can see that only 60% would be willing to read the magazine, and even those who would, would not be willing to pay any more than a pound, with a couple of exceptions. The most popular things people wanted in the magazine were interviews, articles and college news. This shows me that I should do articles to do with things around the college, and interview members of the college. Although this is the result people would like to hear about other things than the college, as 90% of my survey answered.

My analysis of questionnaire

All but one of the questions in my questionnaire was to give me quantitative data. The reason for

this was to give me data easy to analyse. I could quickly see how many people answered with what,

and it was easy to analyse. If I had used more qualitative research it would have been very time

consuming, and harder to analyse.

Although this is the case, the questions I had may not have given the participants the chance to put

as accurate answers as they wanted. What I mean by this is that they may not have had an option

suited to their needs. If I had asked more qualitative questions I would have found out more helpful

data.

I used an even amount of girls and boys to make sure that this questionnaire had good Population

Validity.

From my results I can see that there are likely to be few people over the age of 18. What this data

shows me is that 16-18 should be the ideal age range to aim my magazine at. This means the style of

my magazine may be more informal, and certainly more specific to youthful needs.

From my other questions I can see that only 60% would be willing to read the magazine, and even

those who would, would not be willing to pay any more than a pound, with a couple of exceptions.

The most popular things people wanted in the magazine were interviews, articles and college news.

This shows me that I should do articles to do with things around the college, and interview members

of the college.

Although this is the result people would like to hear about other things than the college, as 90% of

my survey answered.

From my questions about colours I found out people were mainly interested in bright colours.
