    Engaging Students in Contemporary Issues and Civic Action Through Art

    youTHink COLLEGE CAMP for 9th, 10th and 11th gradersyouTHink College Camp will help you better understand yourself and learn about the collegeprocess through fun and varied activities. These activities will include art projects,conversations with youTHink college students, a scavenger hunt around a college campus,and meeting other college-bound high school students. Its never too early to start planningfor college. This program is free to you, through the generosity of our sponsors.

    The camp will meet on 2 consecutive days from July 18-19 from 10:00 am -4:00 pm. Toparticipate, you must attend BOTH sessions. The dates are Tuesday, June 17 andWednesday, June 18. The sessions will take place at Marymount College in Palos Verdes.Transportation and lunch will be provided. There is also a college visit on Monday June 17th--please hold the date.The application for College Camp involves two steps, both due Thursday, June 13th:

    We understand that the camp is 2 sessions long and that I must attend all the sessionsto participate.

    We understand that transportation will be provided, if requested. We also understandthat if we are running late or will not be at the shuttle stop, we need to contact TashaJohnson at (703) 725-8349 as soon as possible.

    We understand that although we are not being charged to participate in this camp, itis valued at $300/ student.

    We also understand that there are limited openings in this camp, so we agree to callTasha at (703) 725-8349 IMMEDIATELY, if I (student) become unable to attend, soanother student can be offered the opportunity.

    We understand that the transcript will only be used to assist in the best college supportand advising.

    I (parent/guardian) give permission for photos/video of my child taken whileparticipating in youTHink programs to be used in promotional materials for youTHinkand the Zimmer Childrens Museum, which may include an institutional video, website,or brochures.

    I understand that transportation will be by: Shuttle / Car . I understand that adequate and appropriate supervision will be provided. I recognize,

    however, that unanticipated situations and problems can arise on any trip, whichsituations or problems are not reasonably within the control of the supervisingyouTHink and/or Zimmer Childrens Museum staff (including volunteers). In suchinstances, I agree that the Zimmer Childrens Museum and the supervising youTHinkand/or Zimmer Childrens Museum staff (including volunteers) are not to be heldlegally responsible in the event of accident or injury and I will hold the ZimmerChildrens Museum and the supervising youTHink and/or Zimmer Childrens Museumstaff (including volunteers) harmless from any costs, liability, or related expenses.

    I give permission for emergency medical attention to be administered should that benecessary while on this fieldtrip. I also give my permission for photos of my child takenwhile participating in youTHink programs to be used in promotional materials foryouTHink and the Zimmer Childrens Museum, which may include an institutionalvideo, website, or brochures.
