First Artist Reference: Patrick Bremer

• BREMER GREW UP IN BRIGHTON, ENGLAD

• WAS PREVIOUSLY A PAINTER, BUT STARTED EXPERIMENTING WITH COLLAGE AS A MEDIUM

• PRICE OF PAINT WAS TOO HIGH AND HE HAD A STACK OF NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINES IN THE CORNER OF HIS STUDIO

• SINCE THEN HE HAS GAINED RECOGNITION FOR HIS FIGURE AND PORTRAIT PIECES

• USES COLLAGE IN TERMS OF COLORS, VALUES, AND TEXTURES, RATHER THAN FOR OBJECTS
