& Nation by advancing and applying cold regions science and
engineering technologies and leveraging this knowledge to provide
all-season solutions to a wide range of environmentally-driven
problems Solve national cold regions science and engineering
challenges. The Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory,
aka CRREL, was established in Our mission is as you see here. Cold
regions constitute over 50% of the earths landmass, and many of the
worlds current political hot spots are also in cold places,
especially during winter. These include the Balkans, the Korean
peninsula, and mountainous border areas, such as India-Pakistan and
Equador-Peru. As the Armys center of expertise in cold regions
science and engineering, CRREL closes the gap on the technology
base needed for the Army and other DoD agencies to operate
effectively in winter and cold regions conditions Customer

satisfaction is the wide range of customers from not just the
military, but other government agencies, such as Federal Aviation
Administration, Federal Highways Administration, and NASA.We also
do quality work for others in academia and industry. Half our
income is reimbursable, and of the customers we have, over 70
percent are repeat customers, both strong indicators of
satisfaction. $1.2 Billion in Research Facilities &
