Projects that satisfy Planning Policies should succeed

• Planning Policy Wales (Ed 5) – Para 12.8.9 confirms that local planning authorities should facilitate the development of all forms of renewable and low carbon energy to move towards a low carbon economy to help tackle the causes of climate change

• Powys UDP – March 2010 – many relevant policies, but one of the key ones is E3 - Wind Power, which will be supported so long as the projects satisfy a long list of criteria, which we believe we have done in this application

• UK Climate Change Act 2008 - reduce GG emissions by 34% by 2020 & 80% by 2050

The Project has been presented to comply with all relevant policies

Subsidies – DECC & ODI• £112 of the average £1287 family dual fuel bill = Green policy

• £37 = renewable subsidy (£30 ROCs and £7 FiT) < 3% of average bill.

• £47 = ECO and energy saving measures tackling fuel poverty.

• £24 = pensioners discount & other measures.

• UK is 5th subsidiser of f-fs – independent think tank, 7th Nov 2013.

• £280m were given to oil and gas producers through tax breaks.

• Several billion pounds of reductions on VAT on f-fs – 2011
