StyleMusic videos can be categorised by the style in which the video is shot.PerformanceThis usually consists of a band/artist playing live in concertNarrativeA music video with narrative will have a storyline to it and is usually a short film. Band Rudimental are famous for creating short films as their music videos.CameoThis is when the band/artist features in the storyline but is not performingAnimationThe video is done digitally or uses stop frame animation for example the gorillaz use animation in all of their videos.

CameraMusic videos use a variety of shots to keep the viewer engaged and not bored throughout the video. Close ups and extreme close ups are used a lot in performance videos filming shots like guitar strings and lips singing. Low/high angle shots are used to show different characters status in the video. Tracking is very common when the artist/band walking whilst singing. If there is a shot of the performer on stage then there will be a crane shot.
