Services What we oer
We have a wealth of experience...
...yet we are still a young and creative
team.
.
We are are not too large.....
....yet we have access to a huge engine room.
We are international...
...and we are holistic...
...yet we know how to ice the cake.
The application of the most avante guard
interior designs and the layering of fi nal
decorative elements create spaces that are
completely resolved.
We also assist developers to maintain the
standards of their tenants by providing
tenancy fi tout guidelines and design critique.
Why use CODE?
CODE are experienced, creative, effi cient, international and holistic designers.
We have an oce in Sydney, located in
North Sydney. We are ecient. We are
able to satisfy our clients by being
dedicated to attention to detail
Our designers have worked with the
largest shopping centre developers,
internationally acclaimed architects and
in retail environments of the highest
calibre in Australia and Asia.
Our designs are practical and feasible.
Our experience enables us to execute
our designs without complications.
We have our fi nger on the pulse of cur-
rent and future retail trends and new
technologies
We maintain a close association with
cgnArchitects in Singapore and have
the ability to take on projects of any
scale. We have sta in both cities who
are ready to turn around tight
deadines.
We have Australian comprehension
and international awareness. We are
currently working on exciting new
projects overseas. We know about
retail trends before they reach
Australia.
Our understanding of the shopping as a
whole, and our ability to break up retail
monotony with features makes our
understanding unique. We break up the
space into human sized environments
creating themed precincts... a farmers
market,...a fi sherman’s wharf....a Japanese
food garden.....a lifestyle lounge.

Food Precinct design, Feast
An intimate fi ne dining atmosphere was created in Feast where the ceiling is low. Individual restaurants encircle a central shared dining area. This is the fi rst such restaurant precinct of its kind. We worked very closely with the restaurateurs to understand their individual requirements and celebrated their individuality within a common design ethos.

PROJECTIONS IN THE LEASELINE The notion of the shopfront as a 3-dimensional form
can be realised by blurring the line that is the notional
leaseline. Mumbai Maxity’s consultants will work with
tenancy designers to facilitate projections, ingos and
outgos into the mall space in order to realise this
notion. Outgos of up to 500mm can be accomodated.
The total area of leasable space must remain as per the
Lease plan.
Note that protrusions must not hinder the view to the
adjacent tenancy and must not cover the intertenancy
wall; shopfront projections should recede close to the
inter-tenancy walls, at least 400mm away. To achieve
this free-form space the designer may consider
elements that protrude into the mall.
Where a tenancy occupies two or more levels, and only
when the leaselines are vertically aligned; the designer
may consider cladding over the vertical face of the void
edge.
CLOSURES Types of closure include; swinging doors
that open inwards, recessed outward opening doors,
doors that stack into a concealed compartment.
Doors may be transparent, solid or framed. They can be
double or single leaf pivot, swing or top hung sliding
doors. All door hardware must be concealed. The
minimum door panel width is 700mm. The nishes to
doors need to be of the highest quality in keeping with
the shopfront.
Roller type doors or trellis shutters are not permitted.

thresholds & projections should interact with the customer and connect with the mall.
Consider;
Setting back portions of the shopfront to frame display windows and entries
Using layering and di erent materials in the Threshold Zone (or rst 1500mm)
to create depth
Projecting from the shopfront to create a focal point or highlight signage
Using design elements that are directional and guide the customer towards the
entry point

// Yardhouse Bar and Brasserie 730 George Street, Sydney
Yardhouse bar and Brasserie, formerly The Palace was part of the very early landscape of Sydney. On George Street, in the Haymarket Hub, it is the oldest continuously open bar in Australia. The new design embraces the rich history of the building and its warm character.
Yardhouse The bar was fi rst opened in 1890. It incorporates street and mall dining areas, a historic front bar, gaming room and huge brasserie.
Freshbox
Youth Fashion
Freshbox is an established streetwear fashion brand that had already attracted the youth market. The brand wanted to lift its profi le and strengthen its identity. This was achieved by the incorporation of graphics and youth art pieces into the merchandising. The use of black and white printed graphics reduced the fi tout costs and the addition of bright pink over the top in vinyl, rope and laminate to bring life to the design.
Camoufl age
Kids Wear
Camoufl age is a kids store with attitude. The colourful anti-camoufl age graphic is fl exible in form, and was
translated onto the fl oor, ceiling and walls, as well as packaging.
Helen
Jewellery & Accessories
We have opened in excess of fi ve stores with Helen Accessories. The black and white logo and ceiling elements are a trademark of the brand. The challenge has been to showcase a large amount of product with adequate lighting, and divide it with enough joinery that it remains easy to browse. Smaller kiosk outlets make extremely effi cient use of space and integrate storage, pack away systems, security and lighting.
