Some points for discussion…Investments costs for PV at 3-4 m height (min 10-15% higher)- Foundation und Ramming +50%- Higher matieral costs +50%- Structure Installation costs + 50%- More Land for same capacity+- Mostly no additional water required for cleaning system
O&M costs- Higher cleaning costs+- Additional water?
Farming related- Less land available for farming- Changing/rotating crops requires different shading/sun light exposure- Doesn’t work for all crops- More complicated for farmers managing the space / additional work- More or even a lot less produce?- Possibility of rainwater harvesting from PV but at additional costs
