CMR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY An Autonomous Institution with NAAC Accreditation (A-Grade) *Approved by AICTE *Permanently Affiliated to JNTUH *NBA Accreditation Kandlakoya, Medchal Road, Hyderabad -501401 INDUSTRY INSTITUTE INTERACTION CENTRE Summary On Industry Institute Interaction Meet Held On 06 th Jan,2018 The Industry Institution Interaction Centre of CMRCET was established in 2016 under the Industry Institute Interaction Scheme of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India with sole aim to understand industrial requirements of the region and act as bridge between academia and Industry. The aim of this Centre is to evolve educational programs consistent with requirements of the industry which can provide engineering personnel capable of meeting the accelerating pace of the technological development of this region. In this direction, the first Interaction meet with industry was organized in CMRCET on 6 th January, 2018 to bring all the Technologists on one Platform and discuss the Industry-Institute related issues for betterment of all the stakeholders. Overall more than 30 Industrialists of Engineering, Electronics, IT and Electrical besides Senior faculty of various institutes under JNTU and OU have Participated in this meet. Dr. Ramesh Datla, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – National MSME Council and Managing Director of Elico Limited has informed about various missions of Indian Government and requirement of skills for young Engineers to be successful. He suggested to form a specialised Research Centre by each department and also by collaborating with other sister instates in the campus. He also informed about AICTE-CII awards on incubation ,innovation, projects dealing with the industry problems etc Sri K. Harish Reddy, President, Cherlapally Industries Association, Hyderabad &Managing Director at Dynatech Industries informed the importance of learning on the job and turning into entrepreneur and Job opportunities for Engineers in various industries in Hyderabad Sri Vijay Kumar Gupta, CEO of Kwality Photonics has told the future of LED and the involvement several engineering branches in realizing the product. Mr. M.J. Purohit , Chairman and Managing Director of Axiom group has told that by 2030 Electrical cars and solar power will predominantly rule the world and 50% of the components of these cars are made of Power Electronics related products. IIIC Meet Coordinator, Dr.B.Srinivasa Varma, Professor of Mechanical Engineering has told about the activities of the cell.
