What is the Beta process – what do I get?

The NanoApp Manager (Web Portal) gives participant access to demonstration MS Project plans and Excel Templates:

•Project Manager An Excel template that reads local MS Project Plans (later sprints will

provide MS Excel plan templates as alternatives) and highlights tasks for inclusion in the Portfolio Hierarchy provided – by default this is Programme, Stream, Project (later sprints will let PMO configure this)

•Portfolio Workbench Can define the Portfolio Hierarchy using the names of the uploaded

Projects and Work Packages sent to the cloud by each Project Manager•Portfolio Report

Enhancing Sprint 1 with inter-project dependencies mapping•Project Manager

Each PM can optionally highlight any one or more tasks/milestones in their plan to show whether it is either: Depending upon (Recipient Dependency) some other Project

Manager’s task or tasks. Needed by (Donor Dependency) some other Project Manager’s

plan for work to proceed on schedule. Note that each PM does not need to know the low level detail of every

other PMs plans – just that they are dependent on some event or that their event is depended upon by other PMs

Portfolio Workbench The PMO sees these sets of donor and recipients clearly marked in her

Portfolio Hierarchy and can (point and click) connect them appropriately.

Note that any one or many donor(s) can ‘feed’ one or many recipients•Portfolio Report
