What about it?

Robert Hooke invented the compound microscope in 1665.

Today, the compound microscope is used for medical research and school projects.

It used to be used for counting threads in cloth to make sure it was good quality fabric.

What about it?

• Philip O. Gravelle made the dissecting microscope to compare bullets for identification in forensics. It was developed in the1920s.

• Needless to say, the Dissecting microscopes are used for dissecting.

What about it?

• In 1931, Max Knott and Ernest Ruska co-invented the Scanning Electron Microscope.

• It has allowed scientists to study smaller items, magnifying up to two million times!

• Some scientists use this microscope to have a look at the microstructure of Mozzarella cheese!!
