Fit-a-thon

This week, everyone at Cleves took part in our fit-a-thon. The children and staff had to do numerous activities during this time. This sponsorship event was extra special to us this year as we did it in memory of one of our pupils Joshua Ossoulo. We are collecting

for the Mill Grove which supports children with complex needs. This is a charity that Joshua and his family are very fond of. We just want to say a massive thank you to all

of you for helping us fundraise for this special event.

We will be letting you know how much we raised in the next edition.

Early Years Pantomime Nursery, Reception and Year 1 were engaged throughout the entire performance of “The littlest Christmas elf!” today. Pip, has set off on her magical tour to schools in the North East to spread the festive cheer and really got the children in the spirit of Christmas through charming puppetry and interactive drama. This has been a big hit with the children and

teachers!

Christmas Jumper Day

In this festive season we should always remember people in our community who need our help and support. To raise money for charity

Attendance News! Well done to 5H for getting the

highest attendance this week of 98.3%!

Year 3 Book of the week-The Addams Family The Addams Family is a novel by Jack Sharkey. The story is about a family

that are all monsters. The main characters are: Gomez-Father, Morticia-Mother, Pugsley-Son, Wednesday-Daughter, Lurch-Servant,

It-Cousin, Uncle Fester-Uncle. My favourite character is Wednesday because she likes to do

strange things to her little brother. Once she buried him while he was alive! People did not like the Addams’ family because they were monsters.

When the monsters started to be kind to the humans, their problems suddenly disappeared. The most interesting part that I have learnt is that everyone has to be treated equally even if they are different. I wouldn`t change anything in this story. I think that everyone will live happily ever after with love and harmony. If I could change one thing it would be

that the humans are kind to other creations. I would recommend this book because it is very interesting and children will learn that everyone should be treated the

same. By Sarah Mokhtari

Top Tips for Art Three rules for colouring/painting: Colour in 1 direction Stay inside the lines No white spaces

Want instant colours? Use condiments and household products such as: ketchup (red), mayonnaise (white), toothpaste (white or blue), mustard (yellow) or chilli sauce (orange or red). Be careful with the last one!

Watercolour paint: Get skittles (the sweet) and add a bit of water to make water colour paint.

Paint away! Get creative and send your pictures in with your homemade paint!

Christmas Card Competition! We are currently on the hunt to find the best Christmas Card in London! We would like to give every child the opportunity to use their imagination, get into

the festive spirit and potentially win a £100 Library Hamper for the school.

The competition will be closing

Thursday 17th December, please speak to you class

teacher to get a form for the competition.
