Again, how will you utilize this learning experience?
Is it (the student paper) a discussion starter for the next lesson?
Is it designed to further their knowledge? Is it a graded assignment---an assessment? Is it designed to help you see how they are
synthesizing information (articles, You tube, websites)?
(Synthesis level)
Students and professor would very likely engage in a discussion that is primarily anecdotal. There would be little real evaluation or actual critique, since real teachers would not be there in the classroom for an interview.
You could have them to participate in webcam interviews with 8 teachers in 2 different schools (4 each).
The students will not know which is the high performing school and which is the low performing school.
The students will have already developed their lines of inquiry.
Following the virtual interviews, students will rate the teachers according to their perceptions.
You can create it in Excel so that all students’ data can later be placed in one large spreadsheet and descriptive statistics can be run.
How will you grade this activity? What will stand out as ‘learning’?
The form can be posted to Bb Course Documents. Let’s look for it now.
Ok, here’s the Bb path!
