Classroom management is the process of gaining and maintaining a positive learning environment. The term implies the prevention of disruptive behavior.
Classroom management is closely linked to issues of motivation, discipline, and respect.
Importance of Effective Classroom Management
Effective Classroom management will increase instructional and learning time
Effective Classroom management will increase student achievement
Effective Classroom management will foster an environment of productivity and community
Effective Classroom management will allow students to become active participants in their educational outcome

Management Vs Discipline
Discipline is a pattern of behavior, it is a code of conduct. Discipline is a manner in which one behaves.
Management is a process which fosters certain behavior of discipline
