Public schools continue to slash budgets for athletic contests, leaving the burden on the student-athletes and their families. We need the support of businesses and individuals in order to raise funds to finance our 2010 Football Season. Our biggest fundraiser of the year is our an- nual "Football Hall of Fame." It will be held Sunday, July 1lth. Nearly 500 guests share dinner and an evening at the Westin Hotel. We are only able to reach our ambitious goals by securing donations for our silent auction and raflle from businesses and sponsors. Any item you could donate would certainly be appre- ciated and we would make sure to trumpet your company's sponsorship in our event program. There are also opportunities to advertise in our season program, on our website, and on our field banners (see enclosed). It is your generosity and kindness that would help provide our student-athletes with the coaches, equip- ment, facility maintenance, and instructional aides that are required to compete in the Moore League and CIF. For over one hundred years, Long Beach Polyechnic High School has produced many influential civic and business leaders, as well as professional athletes; these outstanding scholars and athletes have achieved academic excellence as they earned degrees at some of America's most prestigious universities. We are look- ing forward to the 2010 season with much anticipation for our team to once again dominate on the field and in the classroom. We hope you will invest in their fu- ture.
