Project Manager Access

• Project Home is great for managers to track data

• Issues, RFIs, other options

• Document Management

• Viewer to access to C3D, InfraWorks, Revit

• Other drafting platforms

• Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, etc.

• The Large Model Viewer

• 2D, 3D, orbit, zoom

• Model Explorer/Layer options, Properties

• Create markups, issues, RFIs

Document Management

Page 13: Civil 3D and BIM 360

Document Management

• The design process doesn’t change that much

• Just storage and access

Page 14: Civil 3D and BIM 360

Document Management

• In C3D or InfraWorks switch to Autodesk Docs to open a file

• Browse into the folder structure of that project

• Edit, Save as normal

• Data Shortcuts are pointed to the Autodesk Docs project

Page 15: Civil 3D and BIM 360

Document Management

• Making changes to a Civil 3D file

• Save the file as normal

• updating the Autodesk Docs version

• In Autodesk Docs - processing and Version number

Page 16: Civil 3D and BIM 360

Document Management

• Data Shortcuts are pointed to the Autodesk Docs project

• Save changes to source file

• Receiving file needs sync

Document Management

• The following demonstration is not the only way to work in a project, but it is representative of how easy it can be.

The Tools of Collaboration Pro

Page 20: Civil 3D and BIM 360

The Tools of Collaboration Pro

• To share projects in real time you need Autodesk Collaborate Pro

• That is the cloud arm of the project work

• Design files lock when opened

• Data Shortcut access after synching

Conclusions

• Your design process doesn’t change that much, only location and added access

• Internal and external users collaborate on a project

• Any file can be stored in Autodesk Docs, many can be opened/reviewed/edited
