WELCOME TO BUDAPEST
The capital of Hungary is on the UNESCO list of world heritage sites with two impressive sights: The
banks of the Danube and the Buda Castle, which is one of the most romantic parts of the city. The
historical district is 800 years old, but the beautiful medieval monuments are perfectly preserved.
The Danube separates the cosmopolitan city Budapest into two parts: the hilly Buda and the flat
Pest. Important landmarks of the city are the Castle Hill with the former Royal Palace or the rocky
Gellért Hill with the Statue of Liberty and the Citadel. The city is also famous for its spas that have a
history of over 2000 years!
