For the past 25 years, the Symphony has provided South Orange County exciting musical programs at a variety of venues, including our current home, the courtyard of Mission San Juan Capistrano. The perfor-mances vary from our signature “CALIFOR-NIA POPS” series to chamber music, winter holiday concerts, 4th of July events and spe-cial fundraising events ranging from a full dress “Opera Ball” to a country and western “Black Bandana Ball.” For more information call (949) 240-8584 or visit www.capistranovalleysymphony.org.

The Ocean InstituteThe Ocean Institute has become nation-ally known for its hands-on marine science, environmental education and maritime history programs. More than 110,000 K-12 students and 8,000 teachers annually par-ticipate in the Institute’s 61 award-winning, immersion-style programs. To learn about oceanography, science and California his-tory, students voyage onto the ocean, study in labs and live aboard tall ships or in the chaparral, where they can feel and taste the salty sea spray, sort through live specimens, observe migrating whales, collect scientific data and investigate the culture and world around them. On weekends, the Institute opens its doors to the public for a sneak peek into how ocean science, history, and literature are used to inspire lifelong learn-ers! We welcome you to come explore our world and plan your next visit to the Insti-tute. The Ocean Institute is located at 24200 Dana Harbor Drive. For more information visit www.ocean-institute.org or call (949) 496-2274.
