River Fest• Consideration of approving the allocation of

$30,000.00 of hotel occupancy tax revenues to a City event account and the creation of revenue and expenditure accounts for City events, primarily “River Fest.”

River Fest• Purposes of River Fest to:

• celebrate the completion of the river improvement project

• celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the acquisition of Santa Fe Park (San Angelo’s “Central Park”)

• celebrate the arts• celebrate life in San Angelo

River Fest• River Fest is an activity-based event and is being

coordinated by several organizations: Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, Downtown San Angelo, Art in Uncommon Places, Girl Scouts, Goodfellow AFB, Operations Department, Angelo State University and Central and Lake View High Schools student organizations, San Angelo Host, Citywise Marketing, San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, Sealy Flats, Race Texas, Parks and Recreation Department, and Two Pro Club Management.

River Fest• Friday, October 18:

• 6-9 pm – Salmon Sculpture Competition Reveal• 8pm-1am – Friday night concert @ RiverStage (free)

• Saturday, October 19:• 9-11am – Color up Run• 9am-12pm – golf tournament @ Santa Fe Golf Course• 10:30am-2pm – activities for kids and families @ Kids’

Kingdom (~11am official kick-off and dedication)• 2-3:30pm – vintage baseball game• 10:30am-2:30pm – games & paddleboats @ games
