1. Introduction

The Crime and Criminal Tracking Network Systems (CCTNS) aims at creating a comprehensive and

integrated system for enhancing the efficiency and effective policing at all levels. It provides a citizens

interface to facilitate basic services to the citizens through Citizen Portal. It is a separate application that

can be accessed by citizens over the internet.

This service shall enable Citizens to request services from Police through online petitions and track

status of registered petitions and requests online. The portal shall also provide the citizen with

information and statistics that are published by the Police Department about Crime and Criminals.

The citizen services are primarily classified as:

3. User Manual

The purpose of this User Manual is to provide a better understanding of the Citizen Portal. The manual

consists of brief description of services available to the user and steps used for making entries with

screen shots.

Before making data entries one will keep the following points in mind:

User will have a valid username and password before login

User can see the pages only if he/she has access to those screens

Make relevant and correct entries only

Browse through each & every Tabs to make data entries

Recheck the entries made before click on Submit

Mandatory fields cannot be left blank

Do not make false entries

Points to Remember:

1. This Citizen Portal has been launched for internal testing purpose.

2. Administrator has created user IDs for selected users.

3. New User Creation functionality has been currently disabled
