FOOD PANTRY

The first 6 months of 2014 at the Food Pantry we have experienced a 78% growth over the first 6 months in 2013. Each week we are seeing an increase of clients coming to us for assistance. June brought 94 families through our doors and 17 of those came for the first time. That number represents 226 family members. As you can tell by the numbers listed, we have a continuing need to be available to reach out to the community. The need for support and to serve those clients is great!

If you support the Food Pantry, we really appreciate your donations. If you are not a supporter yet, there are two ways to partner with us. Bring non-perishable food items each week to help re-stock our shelves and/or make a monetary donation each week/month. Be sure your check or tithe envelope is marked “Food Pantry.” EVERY item or dollar helps us keep our doors open to serve others.

With the increase in families served also comes the opportunity for our volunteers to be more sensitive to the needs of those who come to us and to witness to them.

BY THE WAY MINISTRIES Who Can Benefit From Counseling? Some are often surprised when the reply to that question is everyone. Counseling is not only for those who find themselves in a pit, but also for those wanting to avoid the pit.

Taking decisions and difficulties before Godly counsel, we are able to get an outside view on our thinking. Together we are able to speak scripture and pray over the situation. Often counseling will reveal areas we are clinging to that may lead to ungodliness and damaging ways.

We put our trust in God, Who, through His Holy Spirit, can use people to give us wisdom and assist us along the path of life.
