2. Sew one Star Point Unit to each side of Nine-Patch.Make five each of Row 2.

4. Draw a diagonal line corner to corner on wrongside of 2" star background. Right sides together,sew 2" star background square to right side of20 - 2" x 3 1/2" star pieces and left side of 20 starpieces in the direction shown in the illustration. Cutaway 1/4" from drawn line. Press. Make 20 - C and DUnits.

5. Sew C Unit to left side of 2" x 3 1/2" dark pieceand D Unit to the right side. Make 20 Star Point Units.

6. Place 3 7/8" background and star backgroundsquares right-sides-together. Draw a diagonal linecorner to corner. Sew 1/4" each side of drawn line.Cut apart on drawn line. Press to star background.Make 20 Units E.

Block Assembly1. Sew one unit E to each side of Star Point Unit.Make five Rows 1 and 3 (total of 10).

3. Join Rows 1, 2, and 3.

4. Repeat for remaining color combinations.

Quilt Assembly1. Make seventeen strip sets using1 1/4" x 42" background strips and1" x 42" red strips. Press.Cut into 49 - 11" sashing units.

2. Make six sashing rows usingfive - 2 1/2" red corner squares andfour sashing units in each.

3. Referring to color illustration, layoutblocks so colors are in desired position.Assemble five rows using five sashingunits in each.

4. Join rows using sashing rows.

5. Add 1 1/2" green accent strips side first, thentop and bottom. Repeat with the 5" large floralborder strips.
