Christmas Letter 2009

Keith Keith finished the MBA program and graduated from Bethel University last December. It’s hard to fathom that it was a year ago when he crossed that stage. On an even more exciting note, he also took a different position at Cummins and no longer has to travel. No, you did not read that incorrectly. Keith DOES NOT have to travel for work anymore. Hallelujah! I never thought this time would come. On the day that most people dread -April 15th, I was jumping up and down for joy and doing the major Happy Dance! He is now a Six Sigma Black Belt and home by 6PM every evening. And the people rejoiced. So what’s a guy to do with all of this new-found freedom? Well, projects, of course! We finished most of the basement and moved the kids down there into their new room, did a major landscape job out front, complete with a custom fence, (designed and built by him), and now he is renovating the utility trailer that he bought me for my birthday…so that we have a means to haul away more construction debris when we finish a family room downstairs this winter...ahhhh...It’s a mystery to me what he will tackle after that, but I’m confident that he has the next 5 to 50 years planned out somewhere in that fan- tastic brain of his! Too bad he only dispenses little glimpses for me to see on a strictly “need-to-know” basis. Shelly A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to run a 5K and like a crazy person, I said, “Sure, sounds like fun!” So I trained all summer and ran my first race in August. I guess I got addicted because I then suckered her into running the Anoka Halloween Race with me. And like the Energizer Bunny, I keep going and going and going. I also decided to add “student” to the montage of my life. This fall, I enrolled in the Therapeutic Massage Program at CenterPoint School and will graduate in April 2011. I know, just a few months away. I love the learning, the school, and knowing that someday I will be able to help others live a more relaxing and pain-free life. I just finished two major finals which is the main reason why you are receiving this so late! For that reason, you now have my full blessing to use this letter as a dartboard or laughingstock if you’re bored or if should you have the need to liven up your holiday festivities. I am still very involved in my 5th year at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and have taken on more responsibility within my group. The kids and I attend BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) every Wednesday, and we absolutely love it there. When I take a minute to think about my life, I am awed that I am now the adult, and people actually trust me with these huge responsibilities! Ah ha ha...if only they knew... I spent so much time writing this crazy letter that I now lack the motivation to print and send it.

Transcript of Christmas Letter 2009

Keith Keith finished the MBA program and graduated from Bethel University last December. It’s hard to

fathom that it was a year ago when he crossed that stage. On an even more exciting note, he also took a different position at Cummins and no longer has to

travel. No, you did not read that incorrectly. Keith DOES NOT have to travel for work anymore.

Hallelujah! I never thought this time would come. On the day that most people dread -April 15th, I was

jumping up and down for joy and doing the major Happy Dance! He is now a Six Sigma Black Belt and

home by 6PM every evening. And the people rejoiced. So what’s a guy to do with all of this new-found freedom? Well, projects, of course! We finished most

of the basement and moved the kids down there into their new room, did a major landscape job out

front, complete with a custom fence, (designed and built by him), and now he is renovating the utility

trailer that he bought me for my birthday…so that we have a means to haul away more construction

debris when we finish a family room downstairs this winter...ahhhh...It’s a mystery to me what he will

tackle after that, but I’m confident that he has the next 5 to 50 years planned out somewhere in that fan-

tastic brain of his! Too bad he only dispenses little glimpses for me to see on a strictly “need-to-know”

basis. Shelly A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to run a 5K and like a crazy person, I said, “Sure, sounds like fun!” So I trained

all summer and ran my first race in August. I guess I got addicted because I then suckered her into running the Anoka

Halloween Race with me. And like the Energizer Bunny, I keep going and going and going. I also decided to add

“student” to the montage of my life. This fall, I enrolled in the Therapeutic Massage Program at CenterPoint School

and will graduate in April 2011. I know, just a few months away. I love the learning, the school, and knowing that

someday I will be able to help others live a more relaxing and pain-free life. I just finished two major finals which is

the main reason why you are receiving this so late! For that reason, you now have my full blessing to use this letter as a

dartboard or laughingstock if you’re bored or if should you have the need to liven up your holiday festivities. I am still very involved in my 5th year at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and have taken on more responsibility

within my group. The kids and I attend BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) every Wednesday, and we absolutely love it

there. When I take a minute to think about my life, I am awed that I am now the adult, and people actually trust me

with these huge responsibilities! Ah ha ha...if only they knew...
